"The University of Ghana School of Law is pleased to invite you to a virtual event on the theme: Law At The Intersection Of Politics And History: Sallah v Attorney General: Whither 50 Years? is being held a little over 51 years since the Sallah v Attorney General decision was delivered, on 20 April 1970. 51 years on, it is worth pausing and reflecting on the lessons our democratic experiment has taken on from the decision, and circumstances that led to the decision in Sallah v Attorney-General? Are there any? If so, what are they? Do things remain the same, the more they change?

The keynote speaker for the event will be the Hon. Samuel Awuku Okudzeto (Fmr. President of the Ghana Bar Association; and Member of the Council of State). The discussants for the event are Hon. Dr. Dominic Ayine, (Former Deputy Attorney-General, And MP) and Pio Dr. Atudiwe Atupare (Dean, University of Cape Coast).

Date and Time of the Event: The event is proposed to be held on May 20 2021 at 01:00 PM (GMT).”
