The University of Ghana School of Law (UGSoL) Library has once again received a generous donation from Kimathi and Partners, one of Ghana’s leading law firms. The firm presented books valued at $10,000, through their annual book donation initiative, to support legal education and promote academic excellence.
The handover ceremony was held on Friday, 22nd November 2024 at the UGSoL Library, brought together representatives from Kimathi and Partners, students, Law Students' Union (LSU) executives and some staff.
Akua Pinamang, representing Kimathi and Partners, reaffirmed the firm's dedication to advancing education. Since 2019, the firm has committed $10,000 annually to enhance the UGSoL Library’s resources.
"This initiative reflects our strong belief in the transformative power of education and our commitment to helping students achieve academic excellence," she stated.
Dr. Samuel Aggrey Bentil, Acting University Librarian, received the donation on behalf of the University and expressed profound gratitude for the firm’s unwavering support. "This donation is more than a gift—it is a foundation for enriching the academic experiences of our students and faculty," he said. "The mind is the greatest tool we can cultivate. We are committed to preserving these resources for the benefit of future generations."
