Dr. Prosper A. Batinge is a legal academic and a lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law whose epistemic pilgrimage is primarily anchored on the Rule of Law with frequent swings between the Rule of Law and Development or human flourishing. As an internationally trained Rule of Law for Development practitioner as well as a dual attorney, Prosper was first admitted to the State Bar of Indiana, USA, and later to the Ghana Bar, his scholarly research also straddles Public International Law and International Human Rights.
Prosper received his legal training from Fordham University School of Law, John Felice Rome Center (Loyola University Chicago Law School), Indiana Institute of Technology, and the Ghana School of Law. And from the Universities of Ghana, Rochester (NY, USA), and Zimbabwe he studied philosophy.
Apart from law, philosophy, and cognate fields, Prosper writes fiction for pure pleasure. Prosper sees literature as a potent vehicle for creating a more humane society as literature captures the human drama in its daily encounter and struggle with justice. Totally Tossed is Prosper’s debut effort at presenting the human struggle with justice in fictional prose. For almost a decade, Prosper was in training towards becoming a Jesuit priest. He never became one, but his Jesuit training ingrained in him the zeal for championing the cause of those often neglected and forgotten at the circumference of the social circle. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.
