The Moot and Advocacy Committee launched the maiden edition of the Inter-Firm Moot Court Competition in the 2018/2019 academic year. The competition, being the first of its kind involved ten Student law firms competing against each other on legal issues in a simulated court hearing where they analyzed a problem, researched the relevant law, prepared written submissions, and presented oral arguments both as applicants and as respondents. The 2019/2020 edition of the Inter-Firm Moot Court competition will kick start in September 2019 and will involve over 10 student-firms engaging in a similar experience as was held last year, with certain improvements and adjustments.

The vision of the competition is to integrate the student of the law into legal practice. The Committee, through this competition, aims at fostering a better and more practical understanding of the law and the peculiarities and nuances of practice. It is to this end that the Moot Committee has decided to maintain the tradition of rewarding the winners and runners-up with internship slots at nationally and internationally acclaimed firms.
