Speaking on the theme “Improving Stakeholders Value Through Effective Tax Planning”, Dr Ali-Nakyea asserted that there was no better time than now for professionals and businesses to harness the power of tax planning to assist them in making better business and professional decisions, to reap the very best out of the tax benefits associated with their business or organisation.

“Tax planning has become a necessary initiative to be undertaken by every business and organisation in the country to better navigate the current economic environment of the country. Therefore, this initiative must be carried out comprehensively to ensure a business or organisation survives the tough times, while reaping in some amount of profit. That means, businesses and organisations must ensure they avoid unnecessary tax penalties, they understand the tax implications on their business decisions, they must carry out self-audit activities, structure their workforce and claim expenses when the need arises”, he said.

He called on all members of the ICAG Wa District Society to realise the importance of their function to businesses and organisations, and the need to push for the implementation of tax planning in their businesses and organisations, because when tax planning is carried out effectively and efficiently it yields boundless results for their businesses and organisations as well as the country.
