Conference of Law Deans (COLD) Project

The Conference of Law Deans (COLD) is an initiative to address the numerous challenges facing legal education in Ghana. To this end COLD’s work has been organized into eight key initiatives. To achieve these initiatives, COLD has established eight sub-committees, each focused on a specific thematic area. These sub-committees are conducting comprehensive research with the assistance of Research Assistants.

 


 Legon Leadership Academy Project

The Research Unit is providing research support for the development of a Training Module on the Basic Laws and Policies of the University of Ghana under the auspices of the Legon Leadership Academy. This training module aims to equip leaders at all levels in the university, with an understanding of the scope, tenets and fundamentals of the University of Ghana’s Basic Laws and Policies.

 


Statutes of Organisational Development Institute

The Research Unit is providing research support for the revision of the Organizational Development Institute's Statutes.

 


International Review of Constitutional Reform

The Research Unit is currently providing research support for the preparation of a report on constitutional reform in Ghana (2023), which is set to be published in the International Review of Constitutional Reform.

 


World Law Dictionary Project, Translegal.

The World Law Dictionary Project is an initiative of TransLegal UK. TransLegal collaborates with stakeholders across borders to create jurisdiction-specific Legal English Dictionaries. TransLegal is collaborating with the University of Ghana School of Law to create a localised Ghanaian version of TransLegal’s English Core Dictionary.
